The Israeli Constant - Deception

With the Israeli/American (I added American because the US politicians of both parties and the American taxpayers provided the weapons used to kill the children and other civilians even though it was only the Israelis who pulled the trigger) war crime of killing over 60 Lebanese civilians, over 30 of whom were children, in the village of Qama yesterday, a pattern is exposing itself.

Israel has said it made a mistake and is sorry for the slaughter. Last week when they killed four UN observers at an unarmed UN outpost that was frantically communicating with the Israeli state their location and begging them not to shell or bomb their position, all to no avail, the Israeli state said, again, it was a mistake and they were sorry.

On June 8th of 1967, Israel repeatedly attacked the virtually unarmed US Navy ship, the USS Liberty, killing 34 American servicemen and wounding over 173 others. How did Israel respond? They said they made a terrible mistake and that they're sorry! And, of course, the US political whores taking up space in both the legislative and the executive branches of government did not press the issue or stand up for the victims of the Israeli war crime. Fortunately, the survivors of the USS Liberty are still fighting for justice. They have filed a war crimes report documenting the attack and the lies of the Israeli government and the ensuing cover-up by 'US' politicians and the military brass. An excellent book on this important event is Assault on the Liberty by crew member and survivor James Ennes.

It's hard not to miss this pattern of deception. They do what they want to do and then say 'I'm sorry' and the world, in particular the US, looks the other way. Then, in time, they repeat what works so well for them, accomplishing whatever it is they're after.

Just what they're after is conquest and power. They want the neocon dream of restoration of the Biblical state of Israel and a world based on the Hebrew Bible where they reign supreme. Their violent and seemingly crazy actions probably are an attempt to keep their enemies in a state of confusion. It's common sense that if your opponents are gripped by chaos as Lebanon is close to now, they aren't much of a threat.

Deception is key to all governments. Israel has made a science of it. In fact, the Israeli intelligence organization Mossad has for its motto, 'By way of deception, thou shalt do war.'

A former Mossad agent, Victor Ostrovsky, wrote a book about his time in the Mossad entitled By Way of Deception. Critics of the book say it's full of holes and not worth the paper it's printed on. However, the Israeli government itself demonstrated the opposite is true by having the book temporarily banned in the US. If it wasn't a factual book, they would never have actually had it banned in the 'land of the free.' Instead, they would have waited until it was published and then prove the lies in it. Or, they would have ignored it, but they never would have fought it so hard as to actually have it banned.

In his book, Ostrovsky shows what a great ally Israel is for the US. In 1983, when Mossad received information that Islamic fighters were going to blow up the US Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, they did not pass this information on to us! This resulted in the deaths of 241 US Marines. With friends like the Israelis . . . !
