Subpoenas in AIPAC Spy Case Could Help Awaken US Troops On Who They're Really Fighting For

Paul Wolfowitz, the first person to suggest to George W. Bush that the US use the 9/11 attacks as an excuse to remove an old enemy of Israel--Iraq--is among those who will receive subpoenas to give their testimony in the ongoing and under-reported case of two American Israel Public Affairs Committee employees, Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman. Rosen and Weissman are accused of conspiring to receive and disclose classified US defense information over a five year period from 1999 to 2004. In addition to neoconservative former Defense Secretary Wolfowitz, current Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, former Undersecretary of Defense Doug Feith and 11 other former and current high ranking government officials and neocons will receive subpoenas to give their testimony that it is standard operating procedure for US government officials to work closely with AIPAC and the Israel lobby.

The judge made public his decision to issue the subpoenas last Friday, November 2, 2007. To date, I haven't seen this important decision mentioned on any electronic news sources. I've only seen it online and in mostly Jewish sources. According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, the global news service of the Jewish people, if the subpoenaed neocons and government officials do give their testimony, 'they could end up shedding unprecedented light on the Bush administration's inner workings and the government's dealings with the pro-Israel lobby.' If this happens, and if the media gives it the attention they are morally obligated to give it, but never do, those who fill the ranks of the government's military machine, as well as all Americans, will see how the government really works! They will see a very obedient herd of gutless politicians serving their masters regardless of the cost to their constituents and country.

Some points likely to come out could bring us to an honest understanding of why 9/11 happened in the first place. It wasn't because the Muslims hate our 'freedom,' or because they hate the fact that women are allowed to drive in America. These ignorant excuses offered to the American public can't stand up to the truth of the matter. If the kosher plutocrats actually do testify and their testimony is made public, we will all see how the US government brought these attacks on the American people itself by its unbalanced, blind support of the Jewish state of Israel at the expense of Muslim men, women and children. There are, of course, additional reasons, such as US troops on Saudi soil and the US government's backing of violent, oppressive leaders in Muslim countries for selfish reasons, as we did with the Shah of Iran and are now doing in regards to Pakistan. However, I believe the biggest reason is US support for Israeli aggression. This is the reason most overlooked, ignored and lied about by the media and government.

Another fact that would be made evident is the raw hypocrisy of Bush, the government and Israel. All three make claims that they want to see democracy take root and flourish in the Middle East. The lie of this pretension is painfully evident when we look at the Palestinian elections. The Palestinian people voted strongly in favor of Hamas. What did Bush, the US and all European governments and Israel do? They tried, and are still trying, to starve the new freely and democratically elected Palestinian government out of existence! They helped bring about the split of the Palestinians into two camps, Hamas in Gaza and Fatah in the West Bank. Now, the UN says Israel's economic blockade of Gaza is fueling Muslim extremists. This will only serve to create more 'extremists.' However, I don't think someone who violently opposes a violent force trying to starve them and their children into submission is an extremist or a terrorist. I believe the government initiating the blockade is the terrorist organization. And by supporting Israel, we are supporting a terrorist state. I guess birds of a feather do flock together!

It's interesting to note that the 'moderate' Palestinians in the West Bank under Fatah who lick the boots of their powerful and wealthy Hebrew captors are still having their land stolen out from under them! It's recently been reported that 88 Jewish settlements on Palestinian land in the West Bank are expanding with the Israeli government's approval, and in all probability with US tax dollars as well! These Jewish settlement expansions are in violation of the laughable US Road Map for peace! I wonder if Bush and the US Congress will send in the Marines to free the Palestinians from their Israeli oppressors?

Maverick US Presidential candidate Ron Paul doesn't shy away from these unpopular facts. At a recent Republican debate, Paul made the point that America was attacked for a reason. One of Israel's favorite Republican stooges, Rudy Giuliani, tried to get him to back down from the truth without success. It will be interesting to see how Paul does in his grassroots-supported campaign. Sadly, and I think realistically, we're beyond voting our problems away. If Ron Paul did win the election, the powers that be would still control Congress and the military. I can't see them saying, 'Oh, we have to quit because our stooges lost the election.' They'd probably resort to giving the Ron Paul government the Hamas treatment!

One thing I sincerely hope this spy trial will do is shed enough light on the Israeli lobby to weaken it so it can't get a new war started with Iran. AIPAC has been pushing the US government to war with Iran for over a decade. It now seems that two-thirds of American Jews want war with Iran, while half of Gentile Americans also do. This shows the power of AIPAC and the Israel lobby to manipulate peoples' thinking to the point of their own destruction for a Greater Israel. Of course, if we had a free press/media, they wouldn't be able to get away with it. But if all the people hear is one side of an issue, it's not hard to predict how they will believe and whose side they will be on. With former AIPAC staffers and writers like Wolf Blitzer giving us our daily news, how can we expect the average person is going to see through the Kosher Curtain of lies and warmongering?
