You can have fresh year-round herbs and veggies for salads and side dishes for meals. Fresh spices for cooking too. When I started growing my own stuff back in the day I started with cannabis, and then branched out for camouflage. I don't grow weed any more, but I do still grow stuff to eat.

Ha! Nice article! I have started growing last year in the Netherlands. When I visited Cali last year ran into somebody who was growing in the Forrest near Santa Cruz. It inspired me to start growing back home as well since 5 plants are legal here :-)
