German Arms Maker Armatix to Release Second [sic] “Smart Gun” in U.S. Market
Good luck with that meine guten Herren, but I predict that very few Americans will want to pay $1,365 USD for a dubious, likely hackable, battery-dependent, single stack .22 caliber pistol, that has not been vetted for IRL conditions. Armatix has already failed at this once before (cuz of poor sales) and there doesn’t appear to be any demand for it now, either. Go figure?

Some SF Bay area tech investors are keeping this whole SmartGun™ product development thing going despite the nearly non-existent demand for them. Here’s an idea: mandate that the Secret Service details that tend to POTUS and the rest of the fed gov’s V.I.P. security entourages use it exclusively as their primary side arm. That ought to be enough to kill it outright methinks.
