Yeah, I'm not very impressed with the article. One example: “Participants estimated that line-drying clothes saves more energy than changing the washer’s settings (the reverse is true) ..."

How about comparing apples to apples? (In this case, the function of drying clothes - one can obviously both change the washer settings AND use the clothes line).
