"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
Obama Seeks to Lower Expectations
Submitted by Christopher Lempa on Thu, 2009-03-19 17:00
?President Barack Obama sought to lower the expectations of his adoring fans, saying it will take time to accomplish their goals, and he warned an audience anxious over cuts to schools that it will cost money to pay for high-quality education. In this second town hall meeting in two days, the president met another crowd filled with supporters, who cheered nearly every answer he offered.? (Not satire.)
