"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
U.S. Builds for Future at Guantanamo
Submitted by Melinda Secor on Thu, 2007-09-06 16:00
"The U.S. military is building a mobile courtroom complex on an unused runway at the Guantanamo Bay naval base and plans to be ready by March to conduct as many as three terrorism trials at a time....Pentagon officials have said they plan to try as many as 80 of the 355 Guantanamo prisoners on war crimes charges." If only 80 are to be brought hopping into Kangaroo Court, why are the rest of the 355 still held? Perhaps they need them to practice those new and improved "enhanced interrogation techniques."
