Bush Warns He?ll Veto Runaway Government Spending
Submitted by strike on Sun, 2007-06-17 16:00
""'The American people do not want to return to the days of tax-and-spend policies,? Bush said in his radio address." He must have misplaced his veto pen over the first five years of his presidency when he and the Republican majority in Congress authorized a 45% increase in annual federal spending. (This is like the Pope warning he'll veto runaway Catholicism. - Ed.)"
