SF Considers a Tax on Sugary Drinks

"For years, the idea of taxing soda to beat back obesity has been tossed around in medical circles. But now, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is proposing a tax on beverages high in fructose corn syrup." I am just so damn tired of California , I can barely restrain myself from fervently wishing for it to drop off into the ocean. As that would cause great human suffering, I instead wish they would just secede from the union and make their own totalitarian nightmare, keeping their insanity within their borders, instead of leaving it to leach out and further contaminate the rest of the nation.
