You Can't Trust a Tortured Brain: Neuroscience Discredits Coercive Interrogation
The techniques claimed necessary for extracting information may be counter-productive instead of merely useless. There are questions about whether the science here is as fully applicable as professor Shane O'Mara suggests (see end comments in article here, for example) but at the very least this new study raises important points about unfounded assumptions behind the use of torture.
