"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
NSA Shares Mass Surveillance Databases With Law Enforcement All Over The World
Submitted by Melinda L. Secor on Mon, 2015-08-03 01:00
"Binney described US federal law enforcement agencies as 'new customer[s],' saying they are already using NSA mass-surveillance databases to 'investigate, retroactively, anyone they want.' 'It is the FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation] and the DEA [Drug Enforcement Administration] that are actually using this,' said Binney. Binney says the NSA database is not limited to just US law enforcement agencies, either, adding that the NSA is 'sharing this data around the world with all the policing agencies around the world who they collaborate with.'"
