One Dead, Two Injured After Virginia Sheriff's Deputy Goes On Bloody Rampage

“An off-duty county sheriff's deputy killed his ex-wife and shot a state trooper before he was wounded during a bloody Memorial Day rampage in Roanoke, Virginia.” I doubt this was the first ugly, violent incident this officer has been involved in, whether or not there is an official record of such behavior. Furthermore, is this really the caliber of person that should have our unquestioning obedience? Or, as in Indiana, the sort of person that we have no right to protect ourselves against?
