Storm Cost Retailers $1 Billion, Report Says

"The snowstorm that swept through the Northeast kept shoppers home on Sunday and Monday and delayed about $1 billion in postholiday spending, according to a report released Wednesday." (NYT, Registration Required). Yeah... bad weather, not economic depression. Yep, recovery is right around the corner, just follow the tooth fairy to the yellow brick road and take that to the Wizard of Oz who will be happy to explain the happy details of our sunny economic future.
