Trapped by Technology: 5 Reasons to Teach Your Kids To Be Technology Independent

When I look at my girls and all they know how to do, I often reflect upon the number of children and adults that do not have their practical skills. My 11-year-old daughter, for example, working hands-on to help resolve three separate pipe freezing events, now has the knowledge and skill to handle such a situation all by herself if need be. Very valuable when the nearest city is 80 miles away, especially considering how long it would take and how much it would cost for a plumber to venture out into the wild to assist us.
