GENERAL INFORMATION

Name:
David Rogers
Sex:
Male
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Too embarassed to say.

Short bio:

Dave is a solitary, directionless nerd who lives in Oklahoma, uses OpenBSD with XFCE, reads Manga and Urban Fantasy novels, and basically takes it easy. By nature he is a troubleshooter rather than a scholar. And his work is best understood in that light.

Bio:

I'm an Austro-libertarian agorist stemming from a conservative family with libertarian leanings. Back around '87 I became alarmed at the direction of this country. Slowly and carefully, I started asking questions and reading. There was no internet at that time, so it took a long time to find what I was seeking. At some point it became obvious that a futile and useless gesture was called for; and that I was just the guy to do it. Though I naturally lean toward libertarian anarchy, around '94 I became a Bircher. I remained a member for a little over a decade; and during that time I served as a Chapter Leader and later a Coordinator (field staff). I resigned from the JBS around 2007 (oddly, for the same reason I joined) and reverted to anarchy: a better version this time. I'm largely directionless. But I do have interests. I meander through those interests as the wind blows me; and occasionally produce an essay. At some point, I would like to develop business model that is intrinically detrimental to the state.

Column by new Root Striker David Rogers. Exclusive to STR Back in August 2015, Walter Block and Bob Murphy debated on the Tom Woods Show whether a libertarian could rightly take government money. Bob Murphy's argument was simple and effective: the government stole the money from taxpayers, and that libertarians who take money from the government knowingly receive stolen wealth.
