"People have often been willing to give up personal identity and join into a collective. Historically, that propensity has usually been very bad news. Collectives tend to be mean, to designate official enemies, to be violent, and to discourage creative, rigorous thought. Fascists, communists, religious cults, criminal 'families' — there has been no end to the varieties of human collectives, but it seems to me that these examples have quite a lot in common. I wonder if some aspect of human nature evolved in the context of competing packs. We might be genetically wired to be vulnerable to the lure of the mob." ~ Jaron Lanier
19 year old, free market anarchist trying to write about Liberty as he grows. His hobbies include reading, eating, playing guitar, and camping.
I am Dylan Delikta
Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan
Aside from writing and reading, I enjoy playing and writing music; mainly for guitar and occasionally for the saxophone.
I read into a lot of philosophy, economics, psychology, and a variety of other topics, mainly because it is a direct way to teach myself about the issues of the world.
My favorite place in the world is Interlochen, MI, where my family and friends go to camp every summer.
I am considered and also claimed to something called Straight Edge (don't drink, don't smoke, don't partake in drugs). It's roots are from the hardcore-punk genre of music, and I feel that the Positive Straight Edge ideals are similar to libertarianism.
I see myself as an Educator in the future, or some kind of mentor. Though I went to public school, I have unschooled myself and would like to mentor others in the unschooling fashion as well.
