Why Every American Puppet State Eventually Goes Bust: Afghanistan Edition

A bipartisan bill has been introduced in congress to end funding for the "government" of Afghanistan, which pro-war neo-conservatives complain will lead to its collapse. But puppet governments set up and funded by D.C. inevitably collapse when their financial and military aid teats are withdrawn. Puppet regimes don't work and they don't last.
