"First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me."

Why India’s Muslims Haven’t Radicalized
Interesting. Who, exactly, defines radicalized? I find this article mildly insulting, actually. Of course, perhaps I'm a bit oversensitive about that word "radicalized" and who gets to define it. In my experience, these sorts of words -- radical, militant, etc. -- are often used to marginalize people and their legitimate issues and concerns. I hear those words occasionally when I insist on acting as though I have natural rights that are not gifts from the government, but rather my human birthright, as though my belief in my rights is some sort of dangerous, fringe belief.
