"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
Daley Warns of `Devastation' Should Congress Fail to Lift U.S. Debt Limit
And, I wonder just what sort of ‘devastation’ has the White House Chief of so concerned? Is he worried about his pension, his health care, his nice secure position among the overlords? Is he worried that the grip of the State on the people may be loosened? I, for one, welcome the devastation of the State, because that’s what I believe the issue of the debt ceiling basically comes down to. After all, how much of this money they so desperately need is spent on police state activities? On trying to dominate people here and throughout the world? How much of this debt truly belongs to us, in the sense of money spent for our benefit – like roads, bridges, and such? I reject their pushing off of their debt on me, my children, my grandchildren to come. I reject the concept that I owe money because they want to bomb innocent people, because torture prisons are expensive, because bailing out bankster buddies is costly, etc. and so on. I owe them NOTHING, no matter what they decide on their so-called debt ceiling.
