"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
A Drug Recall That Should Frighten Us All About The FDA
“The FDA apparently approved this drug – and others like it – without testing it. The FDA just assumed if one dosage strength the drug companies submitted for approval works, then the other higher dosages work fine also. With this generic, American consumers became the FDA’s guinea pigs to see if the FDA’s assumption was right. It wasn’t.” Remember when Taco Bell had a bit of trouble because their 'beef' fell below the 40 percent beef the FDA says fast food beef has to be to be able to call itself beef? That's right, the FDA allows fast food to call products that are 40 percent beef and 60 percent something else beef. The whole purpose of the agency, its origins, lie in the food purity movement of the early 1900s and its efforts to stop the adulteration of food products in the marketplace. So, already we know the agency doesn't do what it should. It just takes kickbacks, pay-offs, and bribes from Big Pharm and big business and tries to avoid lawsuits by limiting the things on the market that will overtly kill us. Fire them all, charge as many as possible with fraud.
