Has the Mystery of Confederate Submarine that Sank Union Ship then Vanished Been Solved?

The Confederate submarine CSA Hunley sank the USS Housatonic via torpedo attack in Charlston harbor in 1864 and then continued after other prey, and was never seen again, until its remains were found in 1995. Now Clemson University researchers think they might know why Hunley sank.
