"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." ~ H.L. Mencken
How A Supposedly 'Christian' Nation Treats Its Most Vulnerable People
Submitted by A. Magnus on Tue, 2014-04-22 23:00
"A backpack. Spare clothes. A notebook. Some keepsake photos. Crackers. Though they may not have a home in which to secure their stuff, homeless people still have possessions like everyone else. Yet the city of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is on the cusp of passing a new regulation that would make it illegal for anyone to store their personal things on public property." Apparently SOMEBODY never read that scripture about "How you treat the least of these, you also treat me."
