Is it time for an American Foreign Legion? Oh Hell NO!

Dying empires always go this route right before they collapse. The Ottomans had Janissaries, the Czars had Cossacks, and today’s France has the Foreign Legion. And besides, what could possibly go wrong with having an outside-the-chain-of-command military force whose only loyalty is to the POTUS?
