A Duty to Disobey All Unlawful Orders

Shouldn't that read, "What if every unlawful state edict was ignored?"

"I,____________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..."

I have wondered here before, and bring it up once more; why on Earth would anyone want to support and defend a "goddamned piece of paper"? Wouldn't it make more sense if that military oath begin, "I,____________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the People of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..."?

I absolutely agree and probably so would G.W.Bush Jr. for he called it a "goddamned piece of paper". It's not the paper, its the ideology. Why not include "the right do be free without restriction except as provided by natural law", and etc.

Okay, so, precisely; what is "the Ideology" imbedded in the United States Constitution?

"Why not include "the right do be free without restriction except as provided by natural law", and etc."

Now, we're starting to get somewhere! But, once again, we'd have to learn, precisely, what the natural law of mankind is, and then teach it to our children for a few generations before we could even begin to implement such an Ideology.
